About West Village Park

West Village Park is a new 0.3 hectare (0.7 acres) neighbourhood park and one of the ten new parks being planned for City Centre. This mini-neighbourhood park is located west of the new civic core, half a block south of 104 Ave. The site includes a District Energy Centre, 'Blankets' a public art work by artist Erica Stocking, a plaza, stage, green space, and children's play.

The park was designed through a community consultation process that included community surveying, neighbourhood meetings and a public open house. The park's concept plan was approved by Council in December 2015. Construction of the park and West Village District Energy Centre was completed in Summer 2019.
