Payment Options

Property taxes are due on July 2, 2020. See your payment options that support physical distancing in light of COVID-19.

Your 2020 property taxes are due on July 2, 2020. The last day for payment with no penalty is Sept. 30, 2020. This allows for a 90-day extension to pay taxes without late penalties. A 10% penalty will be levied to all accounts with outstanding balances on Oct. 1, 2020. The penalty also applies to the homeowner grant portion of your taxes. 

COVID-19 and Property Taxes and Utilities Payment Options

As City Hall is currently open by appointment only, and the cashier station at the Operations Centre is closed at this time, we encourage you to pay your taxes and utilities online or via telephone banking. You can also mail your payment to City Hall or call 604-591-4181 to make an appointment to pay in person. See below for more information.

As City Hall is currently open by appointment only, we encourage you to pay your taxes and utilities online or via telephone at this time. Our customer service team is happy to assist you over the phone or via email if you have any questions. 

For property tax and utility information, call 604-591-4181 or email propertytaxesandutilities@surrey.ca. If you are unable to find the information you need online or by phone and still need to come to City Hall in person, please call 604-591-4181 to set up an appointment time. Please note that the Operations Centre is temporarily closed to the public.
