Road Closures and Obstructions

Road Repairs

Highway 99 at 152nd Street

The Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure’s 152nd Street overpass over Highway 99 incurred extensive damage following a forceful hit to the structure earlier this month. The City of Surrey’s Traffic Management Centre is providing real-time monitoring and carefully managing the impacts of travel restrictions on its road network in the Highway 99 and 152nd Street area.

Traffic has been restricted to one southbound lane over the overpass. Additionally, one northbound lane on Highway 99 (at 152nd overpass) is available with a speed reduction to 80 km/h. Access to the South Point Exchange and South Point Annex commercial district is unimpeded from both the north and the south directions and we encourage holiday shoppers to continue their patronage.

Operation of a single, southbound lane on the overpass helps to provide the best circulation for traffic and to minimize delays to motorists. The Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure is working on a repair plan. Please check DriveBC.ca for ongoing updates.
